I picked up my first camera in 2010 while on vacation in Japan. It was a simple, compact point-and-shoot with a bunch of dials, buttons, and settings. Unwittingly, I began my dive into the intricacies of photography.
Now, I dabble in all sorts of photographic genres but some of my favourites include wildlife and portraits. At its core, I enjoy photography for its diaristic properties. There's just so much involved in capturing "that moment" and figuring out how to achieve that is immensely satisfying.
On the matter of events, I found myself taking on many informal requests including weddings of friends, engagement photos, and work parties. These experiences presented numerous challenges that made me truly appreciate the difficulty of mastering light - it's no simple task.
